CD Cover
The music CD cover was created with the intent to be as simple and tranquil as possible. There is not a whole lot of detail in color, shape and pictures however the CD cover stays uniformed with the color and pictures selection because they are consist throughout the piece. The music CD is a collection of tranquil sounds and songs capturing the lifestyle of the Japanese culture. The front and back cover use a repetition of pictures in the top and bottom corners of the CD cover. The front and back of the cover also use balance as the pictures are symmetrical with each other. The color of the font and font style are just simple which helps with the idea of tranquil. The overall design of the CD cover uses a lot of white space which helps to isolate the images, as well as creates the idea of simplicity. The heading and song titles add value to the CD cover by using a shadowing effect which puts emphasis on the words. Overall, the music CD covers uses several design elements and principles such as white space, shadowing, and many others. This helps to enhance the simplicity of the design which was intended to represent the Japanese culture.
